Resin bonded glasswool is useful for both thermal and acoustic insulation. These are yellow coloured fine and long glass fibers suitably bonded and uniformly distributed to provide a matrix of small open air cells .This cellular structure contributes to thermal and acoustic properties of the product.
Glasswool caters to a temperature range of -195 degrees to 230 degrees and can go upto 450 degrees with a special binder . It is available in form of Rolls and Slabs of various densities and in Tubelengths for pipesections . It can be manufactured with various types of Facings. like Aluminium foil ; Fiberglass Tissue , Vinyl Film ,Glass Cloth etc. Its Thermal Conductivity K value varies from 0.038 to 0.040 W/m K depending upon density and mean temp.
Some of the salient features of our resin bonded glasswool foam are:
- Incombustible and Fire safe.
- Light Weight.
- No Impurities like Shots, Chloride and Sulphur.
- Non corrosive to the surface on which it is applied. It is chemically inert
- Bio Soluble in Nature.
- Recovery to 95% of thickness on release of pressure.
- Rot proof and odourless
- Excellent Sound Absorption.
- Resin Bonded Fibreglass is stable under varying conditions of temperature and humidity when applied correctly.
