Resin bonded glasswool is useful for both thermal and acoustic insulation. These are yellow coloured fine and long glass fibers suitably bonded and uniformly distributed to provide a matrix of small open air cells. This cellular structure contributes to thermal and acoustic properties of the product.
Glasswool caters to a temperature range of -195°C to 230°C and can go upto 450°C with a special binder. It is available in form of Rolls and Slabs of various densities and in Tubelengths for pipesections. It can be manufactured with various types of Facings like Aluminium foil, Fiberglass Tissue, Vinyl Film, Glass Clothes, etc. Its Thermal Conductivity K value varies from 0.038 to 0.040 W/m K depending upon density and mean temp.
Some of the salient features of our resin bonded glasswool foam are:
- Incombustible and Fire safe.
- Light Weight.
- No Impurities like Shots, Chloride and Sulphur.
- Non corrosive to the surface on which it is applied. It is chemically inert.
- Bio Soluble in Nature.
- Recovery to 95% of thickness on release of pressure.
- Rot proof and odourless.
- Excellent Sound Absorption.
- Resin Bonded Fiberglass is stable under varying conditions of temperature and humidity when applied correctly.
